The baby monkey sat crying in the tree because he was very hungry

High in the branches of a tall, swaying tree, a tiny baby monkey clung tightly to the rough bark. His small body trembled, not from the breeze, but from hunger. His stomach ached deeply, and the emptiness inside him made him weak. With teary eyes, he looked around, hoping to see his mother returning, but the forest around him remained quiet and still.

The baby monkey let out soft cries that echoed through the trees. Each call was filled with desperation, a plea for comfort and milk. Normally, his mother would be there, holding him close, feeding him, and keeping him safe. But today, she was gone longer than ever before, and he didn’t understand why.

The sun slowly climbed higher in the sky, and the heat made the little monkey even more uncomfortable. His grip weakened, and he carefully shifted to sit on a thicker branch. His cries grew louder now, as his hunger became unbearable. He licked his lips, hoping for even a drop of milk, but there was nothing.

Birds flew past him, and leaves rustled gently, but no one came to help. The baby monkey felt alone and scared. He hugged himself, trying to feel some warmth and comfort, but it wasn’t the same. Tears rolled down his tiny face as he called out again and again for his mother.

Time passed slowly, and just when he was about to lose hope, a familiar sound came from the distance—the rustling of branches, quick and steady. The baby monkey’s ears perked up, and his crying paused. Suddenly, his mother appeared, leaping swiftly from branch to branch.

Relief filled his little heart. He reached out to her, crying once more—but this time, it was a cry of joy. His mother quickly pulled him close, holding him tightly and feeding him at last. The baby monkey calmed down, his hunger finally easing.

Safe again in his mother’s arms, he closed his eyes, no longer afraid, no longer hungry—only comforted by the love he had been missing.
